And this place it was brighter than tomorrow

And if you really try

If you care enough for the living

The Legend of Slamet Mountain

A long time ago, Slamet Mountain was very high. It was so high that it could reach the sky. People heard that they could take the stars if they were on top of the mountain. But no one dared to go there. The people were afraid that the gods in heaven would be angry if people took the stars.

However, the beauty of the stars made some monkeys dared to go to the top of the mountain. Led by their king, they went there and took some stars. Then, the sky became dark at night. People were sad and the gods were angry!

Batara Guru was the leader of the gods. He held a meeting. He invited Batara Narada, Batara Brama, Batara Bayu, and others. Batara Narada had an idea how to stop the monkeys. They would ask Ki Semar to help them.

Ki Semar was actually one of the gods. He was even older than Batara Guru. But Ki Semar did not live in heaven. He lived on earth with his children, Gareng, Petruk, and Bagong. Ki Semar had a great supernatural power. He could cut the top of the mountain easily. But first, he wanted to give a lesson to the naughty monkeys. They had to be punished for stealing the stars. He then set a plan with his children to trap the monkeys.

Gareng then went to the top of the mountain. He had to attract the monkeys to go down by giving them some bananas. It worked! The monkeys followed Gareng. After the monkeys left the top of the mountain, Ki Semar immediately cut the top of the mountain. He threw the biggest part to Cirebon. It became Ceremai Mountain and the small parts became small mountains, like Clirit Mountain, Tapak Mountain, and others.

After the monkeys left the mountain and followed Gareng, Petruk was ready with some hot water. He planned to pour the hot water over the monkeys. He waited and waited but the monkeys never came to him. He did not know that while the monkeys chased Gareng, they met a giant dragon.

The monkeys had a fight with the dragon. It was so terrible that both the monkeys and the dragon finally died. Because of tired waiting for the monkeys, Petruk then left the place. He did not bring his hot water and left it there. People then named the place where Petruk left his hot water as Guci. It is about 50 kilometers from Tegal, Central Java. It is famous for its hot water.

Why did Ki Semar cut the top of Slamet mountain?

making it as the dragon palace

preventing the monkeys to reach it

The prime allure in Gedung Juang Tambun is definitely the history. After all, the building has become the part of the colonial era (especially during the reign of the Dutch). For those who want to learn more history regarding the site, they can hire a tour guide while exploring the building. It is said the construction was done in two phases by two aristocrats namely Chinezen and Khouw Tjeng Kie. The first construction was done in 1906 and it finished in 1910. For the information, the second construction was done in 1925.

At the time, in terms of function, Gedung Juang Tambun was used by the Dutch to conduct a discussion regarding the prisoner exchanges back then. In a nutshell, the building has become a witness of the struggle of Bekasi people in the past. This is why many teachers often bring their students to the site in order to learn such history and appreciate the value of the building.

For others, Gedung Juang Tambun is chosen as the place to conduct photography. Thanks to the distinct architecture design. It makes a perfect background for selfies as well, somehow. Here is the best tip. Visitors should hire a tour guide before heading to the site. Also, they must avoid littering at all cost! Even though carrying foods and drinks are allowed, everyone should take care of the environment while exploring the building.

It is typical – even expected – to use the ideas of those who came before you in your academic writing. Both university students and professionals routinely lean on other people’s words to bolster their original work and arguments. But while referencing the work of others is par for the course, plagiarism is not – yet it happens all too easily.

Unfortunately, plagiarism occurs amongst students and professionals alike. That’s true whether we’re talking about high school or higher education, college students or graduate students, professional scientists or professional writers. Plagiarism happens for any number of reasons, including: lack of understanding of copyright laws and copyright infringement, unintentional theft of intellectual property by failing to cite people’s work correctly and pure laziness.

If you want to avoid being a plagiarist, the best thing you can do is first understand why plagiarism is wrong to begin with. That means learning what it is, what forms it takes, what the consequences are, and how to avoid it.

Plagiarism is the use of other people’s words without proper attribution. Using text or even data from a book, article, or another source word-for-word, without crediting who said it, is a form of theft. If you’re a professional, this act can get you into serious trouble for copyright infringement. Even if you are “only” committing student plagiarism, it’s a serious form of academic dishonesty, and the consequences can be quite serious and long-lasting.

One reason plagiarism is such a serious problem is that many people don’t know they’re committing it. Sure, plenty of people do it on purpose, but more individuals fail to see where they’re committing the error.

How can the text benefit you?

It gives insight to avoid plagiarism

It informs the best way to do plagiarism

It shows the consequences when doing plagiarism

It puts the students into trouble after reading the text

It hardly makes the students cautious when writing their essay

How can you relate paragraph two and three?

None of the paragraph mentions about the reason for doing plagiarism for students.

Paragraph three tells about who can do plagiarism when writing the essay and why they do it.

Paragraph two tells about the reason of doing plagiarism while paragraph three tells about avoiding it.

Both paragraph three and two mention about the benefit of doing avoiding plagiarism for students.

Paragraph two mentions not only the reason for doing plagiarism but also the consequences for doing it.

Heavy rain over the weekend led to flooding in some parts of Depok, West Java, as piles of garbage blocked the city’s waterways.    Several organizations, including the local fire agency, the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) and the Depok disaster response team (Tagana), joined forces to provide assistance to residents in the affected areas. Depok Mayor Mohammad Idris acknowledged that the floods in Depok were primarily a result of garbage blocking the culverts. "Perhaps our negligence during the dry season led to the accumulation of garbage, especially in the river channels. Items like mattresses, tree trunks and Styrofoam were found,” he said.

The mayor emphasized that the floods were not natural disasters. “It's a result of people discarding garbage carelessly. We must also reflect on our actions,” he said. Citra Indah Yulianty, head of the Depok Public Works and Housing Agency, said the floods were the results of both high water discharge and poor waste management. She said at least five residential areas in the city experienced the weekend flooding.   The affected areas included Taman Duta Cisalak, Pondok Tirta Mandala Cilodong, Puri Sriwedari Harjamukti, Bukit Cengkeh RW 16 Tugu Cimanggis and housing near the Angke River in Pondok Petir Bojongsari, she said. "The task force has been clearing the affected areas since last night and will continue today. This includes unclogging channels and constructing large U-ditch drainage systems," said Citra.

People recycle their garbage in their home regularly

The government closed channels of drainage systems

Most of housing agency had poor waste management system

People discarded their garbage carelessly during the dry season

High water discharged from at least five residential areas and piled up the garbage

There are many terms embedded for each existing generationOne of them is the popular term that is warmly discussed, namely the Strawberry Generation. The Strawberry generation is a generation that is full of creative ideas but gives up easily and is easily brittle like a strawberry, which is where this strawberry generation originally came from Taiwan.

From the emergence of this generation, self-diagnosis is too early without involving experts. assumes things on social media that are related to themselves, thus causing this generation to become easily vulnerable, stressed, and difficult to deal with problems.

One of the triggers is that the parenting style that tends to be overprotective also makes children less space to make their own decisions.

Narratives of parents who are less knowledgeable, such as calling their child "moody" or prone to mood swings. This eventually becomes a label for the child that has an impact on him becoming an adult.

Many of today's generations find it easier to run from difficulties than to face and solve their problems. An example of what happens is when a teenager gets a school assignment and is unable to complete it properly, they tend to be stressed and feel pressured. then sometimes it takes time to ''healing'' or rest as a form of self-reward.

Validating the child's emotional condition, for example, so that parents understand what is the child's difficulty and continue to support it by listening wholeheartedly without any judgmental sentences thrown out

Parents can also play a role by giving responsibility to children by providing options for children to practice skills (upgrade themselves).

Every generation has its own way of expressing both in terms of work and choosing a career in life in the future. Today's generation grew up with the instant convenience offered by technology. The ease of technology must be utilized to become a stronger person.

To boost your self-esteem, you need to identify the negative beliefs you have about yourself, then challenge them.

You may tell yourself you're "too stupid" to apply for a new job, for example, or that "nobody cares" about you.

Start to note these negative thoughts and write them on a piece of paper or in a diary. Ask yourself when you first started to think these thoughts.

Next, start to write some evidence that challenges these negative beliefs, such as, "I'm really good at cryptic crosswords" or "My sister calls for a chat every week".

Write down other positive things about yourself, such as "I'm thoughtful" or "I'm a great cook" or "I'm someone that others trust".

Also write some good things that other people say about you.

Aim to have at least 5 positive things on your list and add to it regularly. Then put your list somewhere you can see it. That way, you can keep reminding yourself that you're OK.

You might have low confidence now because of what happened when you were growing up, but we can grow and develop new ways of seeing ourselves at any age.

Hague Agreementtreaty ratified on Nov. 2, 1949, between the Netherlands and the Republic of Indonesia, that attempted to bring to an end the Dutch-Indonesian conflict that followed the proclamation of Indonesian independence in 1945. After prolonged disagreement over its provisions, the treaty was revoked in 1956.

According to the treaty, the Dutch agreed to transfer, by Dec. 30, 1949 (transfer was made on Dec. 27, 1949), their political sovereignty over the entire territory of the former Dutch East Indies, with the exception of West New Guinea (West Irian), to the Republic of the United States of Indonesia, which was to be a federal government formed of the republican state and the 15 autonomous states created by the Dutch. This new republic together with the Netherlands established a Netherlands-Indonesian Union, which was intended to work for the common interest. In return for Dutch political concessions, the new republic gave a guarantee to Dutch investors in the region and accepted the debt of 4.3 billion guilders. The status of West New Guinea was to be settled in discussions to take place the following year.

The Hague Agreement apparently benefited the Netherlands, but Indonesian nationalists were dissatisfied with certain articles in the agreement, especially those dealing with the nature of the state, the dominant role of the autonomous Dutch states, the debt, and the West New Guinea problem. The dissatisfied nationalists drafted a provisional constitution in 1950 and established Indonesia as a unitary state. The conflict between the Dutch and the Indonesian nationalists continued, and on April 21, 1956, the Indonesian parliament revoked the Hague Agreement.
